Creating a stackable plastic chair in Revit
How to create a common stackable chair like the one shown below.

1.    Open a new family and choose metric generic model.
2.    In the front view, go to the create tab and create 2 new reference planes, 1 for the seat(400mm high) and 1 for the height of the back piece(900mm high)

3.    Create a blend with a 300x400 rectangle at the top and (400mm plane) and a trapezium at the base(floor level)

After the blend is completed it should look like this

4.    Create 4x void sweeps with the vertical line as the path and 25mm radius circles as the profile on the corners.

5.    Beneath the chair create void swept blends. Use the shapes shown and use a path parallel to the center axis.

6.    Create a void sweep from left to right with this form.

      7.    Join everything.  Everything can be joined because it is made from only one material.

8.    Create the back piece by blending this shape on 400mm to this one on 900mm high.

9.    Make two void extrusions in the back piece by using these shapes.

10. Join everything
